About me
Hi, welcome to Read Design my name is Jamie Read. I’m a freelance web designer based in Southampton, Hampshire and owner of Read Design. I am very passionate about web design which has become a big part of my life over the last few years. I love thinking of new ideas and expressing them online in a usable interface to be viewed by others.
When designing and building a website I like to gather as much information possible on how my client wants the end product to look.
I would then combine this website brief with my own personal ideas and techniques using Photoshop, to come up with an evenly balanced, well rounded design. Once the design has been finalised it will be ready for development. I use Dreamweaver or Notepad++ for XHTML & CSS coding.
When I don’t have my head buried in the code (sadly but truly one of my hobbies!), I enjoy socialising with friends, catching the latest films at the cinema and meeting new people.
There will be frequent ‘Hits From The Blog‘ so don’t forget to head over for an update on the latest news, web design and development techniques, top web designs, best websites… and more!
